[Algemeyn 2187] מאקאראווער ניגון
    • Resnik, Samuel (Makarov) - רעזניק, שמואל (מאקאראוו)
    • Schachter-Shalomi, Zalman (1924-2014) - שחטר-שלומי, זלמן (תרפ"ד-תשע"ד)
    • עמ' 79

Editor's note: Reb Zalman discussed the possible origins of this niggun with us, saying: I first heard this niggun in Lubavitch, but they don't sing it often there. Why was it sung in Lubavitch? Because it is of a contemplative kind. However, I also heard it from my first father-in-law, Samuel Resnik, who was a Ukranian Jew, and whose family would visit Reb Moshe Mordechai of Makarav, a Rebbe of the Twersky-Chernobyle dynasty. Later, I asked Mordechai Twersky [the Hornesteipler Rebbe of Denver] about this niggun, but he didn't know it as a Twersky niggun, he thought it was a Karliner niggun
